Turf Retainer Rack Tractor Mount

The Elliptical Plunge Action aeration mechanism used in GROUNDSMAN pedestrian and Tractor mounting aerators move the tines backwards when in the ground as the aerator moves forward enabling cleaner tine exit from the ground with less drag or friction and there-for less chance of lifting the surface on shallow rooted turf. For best results operate the machine at the synchronised forward speed, this will produce 75 x 75mm (3” x 3”) hole spacing with Twin Tine Holders fitted. This forward speed should remain constant for all operations with denser hole patterns achieved by fitting Tine Holders with multiple tines such as Triple, Quad or Quint.

 Turf retainers are however available for GROUNDSMAN aerators. The Turf Retainer attachment consists of a box section member which is mounted close to the undercarriage roller on the 8120 and 12180 Tractor Mounting Turf Aerators. This rack spans the width of the machine. Spring loaded brackets extend rearwards onto which the Turf Retainer Holders are attached with two bolts. This system allows the retainers to follow the contours of the surface while maintaining a constant pressure on the turf to prevent lifting. The rack is supplied with Blank Retainer Holder Flanges to keep the clamp bolts secure when retainers are not being used.
