We have prepared a video to show the Turf / Sod Cutter TMC46 in operation, please click on the play button to watch the video. For more information about this item please click on the relevant tabs below.
The TMC46 is radically different to any other turf cutter in many ways setting new standards in performance and operator comfort.
Twin axle four wheel driive for maximum traction with front axle balance for easy handling. The rear external blade position not only gives easy access and cut alignment but also unrestrictive blade widths and configurations including centre mounting for Mole, Trench and De-compaction Blades for working down to 13cm (5") depths. Sod cutting depths are infinitely adjustable down to 7cm (3") depth. The sod blade is visible extending the machine for easy cut alignment, the standard widths available are 30cm (12") 35cm (14") 40cm (16") 45cm (18") 50cm (20") 55cm (22") and 60cm (24"). The sod cutting bottom blade is positioned very close to the rear axle giving unequalled precision and depth consistency even when cutting very thin sod on rolling terraine. The undercutting blade knives are stiffened with a pressed cross-section to resist bowing and maintain sod thickness across the width of cut. Cutting blade angle is adustable through six degrees for perfectly smooth cuts in all soil types and depths. The blade angle adjustment also opens the throat distance between the sod undercutting blade and the blade wheels to enable the TMC46 to cut in very rough grass conditions as well as fine.
The durable low maintenance oil filled clutch gear-box ground-drive developed by Groundsman Industries powers the double axil four wheel ground drive utilising large diameter solid rubber grip wheels for maximum agility and traction with the front axle centered for balance and manoeuverability.
The TMC46 uses the latest Syncro Belt technology which makes it quiet and smooth to operate and coupled with the unique oil filled clutch gear-box ground-drive contributes to the machine's simplicity and very low maintenance. Careful consideration has been given to accessibility and removal of all components for easy service and maintenance throughout the life of the machine.
The cutting blade and ground drives can be dis-engaged independently for safe transportation and loading. The blade-drive utilises a syncro flat belt driven counter balanced sealed bearing crankshaft and connecting rod for smooth operation, the low vibration levels emitted at source along with the anti vibration operator handle mounting system ensures maximum operator comfort and safety with maximim control for precise cut alignment. Groundsman Industries have invested heavily in Whole Body and Hand Arm Vibration (HAV) and Noise Exposure testing equipment and the TMC range of Turf Cutters have resulted with the lowest levels on the market.
For the ultimate in sod cutting performance and precision use the TMC46.
